The Industrial Excellence is achieved from training, both for managers and of technicians.
For this reason, it was carried out a two-day training – on November the 16th and 17th in Arpaia (Benevento) – for all SAPA Group managers.
The workshop was organized and led by leading experts FCA on standards and methodology of the World Class Manufacturing.
WCM is a global standard, based on lean production: an integrated system to control and reduce, until complete elimination, all the waste and business losses.
A smart and lean system achievable with a precise program – based on 10 technical and 10 managerial pillars – for the continuous improvement of all levels and all business functions, with the strict application of standardized methods.
The main goal? Achieving industrial excellence with zero waste, giving value primarily to people.
The workshop on November the 16th and 17th falls within this program, and was dedicated to all SAPA Group management, starting from owners up to to the plant manager in Arpaia, Gissi and Forchia.
A two-day training aimed to analyze the real needs of the company in order to achieve WCM standards.
The first day was divided into two distinct moments: a first part dedicated to the WCM methods and to the benefits that FCA has obtained applying them firsthand. Then, the 10 technical pillars were presented (Safety, Cost Deployement, Focused Improvement, Workplace Organization, Autonomous Maintenance, Quality Control, Professional Maintenance, Logistics, Early Equipment Management and People Development) as well as the methods to track individual activities, in order to measure them and act accordingly.
The second part of the day was dedicated to team activities, instead, to analyze the organizational structure of the Arpaia plant, and evaluate all activities necessary for the WCM standards, with the common goal to fix the steps to be taken in the near future.
The second day was also divided into two moments: the first one more related to the theory, regarding the basic concepts of the 10 managerial pillars, and the second one dedicated to teamwork, with the creation of three separate groups, on some of the managerial pillars, comparing them to the current situation of Arpaia plant, to identify weak points and possible areas of improvement.
At the end of the two days, each group presented and shared the activities to be immediately implemented in order to make the WCM management system more robust and effective.
